Russian Investment Forum Releases Architecture of Business Programme
The architecture
of the Russian Investment Forum’s business programme
has been posted on the event’s official website. All aspects of regional
development will be considered as part of the business programme sessions.
“In terms
of the Russian economy’s development, one of the key focuses is regional
development. In a country as large as Russia, the regions are the ones that
generate manpower, small businesses, innovative projects, and infrastructure,
and titanic work is being done to push the Russian economy into a leading
position in the world. The
upcoming forum will be dedicated to this”, Russian Deputy Prime Minister and
Chairman of the Forum’s Organizing Committee Dmitry Kozak said.
Adviser to
the Russian President Anton Kobyakov, who serves as Deputy Chairman and
Executive Secretary of the Russian Investment Forum’s Organizing Committee,
noted the importance of the Forum’s agenda for regional development: “The goal
of the Forum is to identify both growth points and problematic issues in the
development of the regions, to determine the focus for next year, and attract
investment where it is most needed. This is why a significant part of the
Forum’s programme will be devoted to social development with special events and
business sessions with a social focus. This agenda remains one of the most
important in the framework of Russian business events”.
The
‘Investing in the Regions: Goals, Objectives, and Tools’ pillar of the business
programme will feature discussions on the implementation of national projects,
the creation of industrial clusters, the development of regional
infrastructure, the acceleration of regional small business, public-private
partnership mechanisms, and the development of urban infrastructure.
Participants
in discussions on the theme of ‘Digital Transformation of the Economy.
Practical Results’ will talk about the initial results of digital
transformation, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, investment in data
processing and storage in Russia, and the development of the Russian IT sector.
The
sessions on ‘Human Capital – the Basis for Future Leadership’ will be devoted
to such issues as the development of education, social entrepreneurship,
attracting youth to the regions, the development of creative industries as well
as women’s and social entrepreneurship in the regions.
Russian
Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev will hold meetings with the heads of Russia’s
regions and representatives of the business community as part of the Forum.
The Healthy Life Forum will be held
on the starting day of the Russian Investment Forum on 12 February. The Forum’s
programme also includes Youth Entrepreneurship Day and a financial seminar for
banks that are members of the SCO interbank association. The winners of the
