Roscongress Foundation signs several trilateral cooperation agreements with regional leaders and Association of Lawyers of Russia

The Roscongress Foundation and the Association of Lawyers of Russia public organization continued to hold ceremonies at the Russian Investment Forum on February to sign tripartite cooperation agreements with the Russian regions. The ceremonies began during the Forum in 2018. Cooperation agreements were signed with the Republics of Mari El, Mordovia as well as the Kurgan Oblast.

Taking part in the signing ceremonies were Roscongress Foundation Chairman of the Board and CEO Alexander Stuglev, Chairman of the Board of the Association of Lawyers of Russia Vladimir Gruzdev and the following regional leaders: Head of the Republic of Mordovia Vladimir Volkov; Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Mari El Alexander Yevstifeyev and Acting Governor of the Kurgan Region Vadim Shumkov.

The agreements aim to ensure comprehensive support for regional brands, promote of the investment and export potential of the regions, and provide support for socially significant projects.

During the ceremony, Alexander Stuglev said: “As a socially oriented non-financial development institution, the Foundation confirms it is ready to collaborate with the country’s regions in solving socially important problems through mutual consultations, the joint organization of thematic events, and cooperation in the development of charitable activities and social significant projects”.

“Another focus that is just as important is the promotion of the regions at the main economic platforms of the Russian Federation and within the framework of the ‘Russia’s Regions: New Areas of Growth’ project”, he said

Per the agreements, the Roscongress Foundation plans to organize a series of offsite events that include international road shows, thematic forums, presentations, and exhibitions.

For his part, Vladimir Gruzdev said: “Establishing partnerships will help promote the law and study the experience that the parties have gained in improving legislation and laying the foundations for a state governed by the rule of law. The agreements call for enhancing the level of legal culture and legal education of citizens and business in the regions through mutual consultations, meetings, and other events”.

The regional leaders noted that the agreements are essential for them for promoting investment projects through the Roscongress Foundation’s international and regional partner network, which includes investment funds, associations of industrialists and entrepreneurs, international government commissions and business councils, trade missions and economic blocks of embassies of the Russian Federation and legal communities abroad as well as embassies and trade missions of foreign countries operating in the Russian Federation.
