Heads of major Russian companies to take part in Sochi 2017 Russian Investment Forum

The Russian Investment Forum, the key business event for showcasing Russia’s investment and economic potential, will take place on February 27–28, 2017.

Around 4,000 people will be participating in this year’s Forum. The Sochi Forum has traditionally welcomed the heads of major Russian and international companies, the governors of Russian regions, and representatives of the business and scientific communities.

Heads of companies from Austria, Afghanistan, the UK, Germany, Kazakhstan, the US, France, Switzerland and Japan have already confirmed their participation in the event. Included in this number are Jerry Calmis, General Director of METRO Cash & Carry Russia; Dietrich Moeller, CEO of Siemens Russia; and Rahimullah Rahim, CEO of Emerald Town Construction Group.

Among the leaders of Russian companies who will be taking part are Vagit Alekperov, President of LUKOIL; Viktor Vekselberg, President of the Skolkovo Foundation; Herman Gref, CEO and Chairman of the Executive Board of Sberbank; Vladimir Evtushenkov, Chairman of the Board of Sistema; Andrey Kostin, President and Chairman of the Management Board of VTB Bank; Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Management Committee of Gazprom; and Roman Panov, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Rosgeo.

The Russian Investment Forum will also feature representatives of federal government bodies, including Yury Trutnev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District; Dmitry Kozak, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation; Olga Golodets, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation; Arkady Dvorkovich, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation; Lev Kuznetsov, Minister of North Caucasus Affairs of the Russian Federation; Alexander Tkachev, Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation; Alexander Novak, Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation; Denis Manturov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation; Maxim Sokolov, Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation; Maxim Topilin, Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the of the Russian Federation; Mikhail Men, Minister of Construction, Housing, and Utilities of the Russian Federation; and Maxim Oreshkin, Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.

The following companies are confirmed as partners for the 2017 Forum: Gazprom (official partner); Sberbank (bank partner); Rostelecom (telecommunications partner); Vnesheconombank, the Agency for Housing Mortgage Lending, Norilsk Nickel, and Delovaya Rossiya (business programme partners); and Russian Railways and LUKOIL (organization partners). The event is being held with the support of Rostec.
