Roscongress Foundation and AIRR sign partnership agreement

A signing ceremony for an agreement on cooperation between the Roscongress Foundation and the association of economic cooperation constituent entities of the Russian Federation “Association of Innovative Regions of Russia” (AIRR) took place at the Russian Investment Forum in Sochi on February 27.

The event involved Roscongress Foundation CEO Alexander Stuglev and AIRR Director Ivan Fedotov.

Roscongress Foundation is the operator of Russia’s leading economic forums, including the Russian Investment Forum, International Arctic Forum, St. Petersburg International Economic Forum and Eastern Economic Forum. The agreement envisages cooperation between the Foundation and the AIRR in organizing and holding these forums.

Under the agreement, the Foundation and the AIRR will join efforts to provide comprehensive analysis and coverage of matters concerning the Russian and global economic agenda as well as the establishment of world-class communications platforms and conditions for promoting new projects and ideas with a focus on Russia’s economic development.

The partners will hold a series of bilateral and multilateral consultations, roundtables, seminars and conferences on matters involving socioeconomic development, support for entrepreneurship and interaction between regional business and the government authorities.

In addition, the AIRR will take part in developing a concept for events organized by the Foundation and will assist the Foundation in attracting leading Russian and international experts.

“The agreement is mutually beneficial and creates new additional opportunities for the parties”, Stuglev said.

“The agreement with the Roscongress Foundation is very important for the association. We have agreed to engage in bilateral consulting, information and expert support during events with an economic focus. I am convinced that uniting our efforts will help to intensify the dialogue between the federal government and the regions”, Fedotov said.

The Association of Innovative Regions of Russia (AIRR) is an association of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation that was established to support and promote innovative economic, scientific, technical and educational projects.

The AIRR was established on 10 May 2010 with the support of the Ministry of Economic Development, Rusnano and the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA).

The AIRR includes 14 of Russia’s most highly innovative regions: the Republic of Bashkortostan, Republic of Mordovia, Republic of Tatarstan, Altay Territory, Krasnoyarsk Territory, Perm Territory, Irkutsk Region, Kaluga Region, Lipetsk Region, Novosibirsk Region, Samara Region, Tomsk Region, Tyumen Region and Ulyanovsk Region.

The Roscongress Foundation was founded in 2007 with the aim of helping to develop Russia’s economic potential and strengthen the country’s image by organizing congresses, exhibitions and public events. The Foundation develops the substantive content for these events, and provides companies and organizations with advice, information, and expert guidance, as well as offering comprehensive evaluation, analysis, and coverage of the Russian and global economic agenda.
