The Russian Investment Forum to take place on 14–15 February 2019

On 20 July in Sochi Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Kozak chaired the meeting of the Organizing Committee of the Russian Investment Forum.

The speakers included the Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, the Executive Secretary of the Organizing Committee of the Russian Investment Forum Anton Kobyakov, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Roscongress Foundation Alexander Stuglev, the Governor of the Krasnodar Territory Veniamin Kondratyev.

The meeting summed up the results of the Forum that took place in February 2018 and also discussed the organizational issues of the Russian Investment Forum 2019, including the terms of participation in the event, the launch of an invitation campaign, the preparation of the Forum venue and the infrastructure of the Krasnodar Territory and the city of Sochi, the concept of the business programme and the traditional exhibition of regions at the Forum. The participants focused on opening up the main programme for representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises.

In addition, the events of the ‘Healthy Society: Underway towards 80+’ Forum are scheduled for Starting Day of the Russian Investment Forum. This is to become a joint platform for discussion and monitoring of national programmes and federal projects related to the shaping of a healthy society.

Following the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Organizing Committee Dmitry Kozak announced the dates of the next Russian Investment Forum: 14–15 February 2019.

According to the Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, the Executive Secretary of the Organizing Committee Anton Kobyakov, the Russian Investment Forum has established itself as an effective platform for attracting investment into Russian regions: “Every year the number of participants, both domestic and foreign, grows, and with that grows the number of executed contracts. In particular, at the Forum 2018 the increase in the number of participants was 27% compared to the previous year. The Programme of the Forum also expands, new formats are being added, and the number of exhibitors grows. This shows that the Forum provides a wide range of opportunities for the regions to present their investment attractiveness to foreign and Russian investors, discuss joint projects and interregional cooperation. The Forum should be used to stimulate regions not only for economy, but also for social and other domains.”
