Veronika Skvortsova: share of private partnership structures in healthcare increases to 27%
27 February 2017
According to the Russian Minister of Health, this share stood at only 7% in 2011
Private structures made up roughly one-third of the government’s guaranteed medical care programme in 2016, Russian Minister of Health Veronika Skvortsova said on the side-lines of the Russian Investment Forum in Sochi, as reported by TASS.
“Some 27% of private structures are already taking part in the government-sponsored free medical care programme”, she said. This proportion amounted to only 7% in 2011, she noted.
“At present, there are 76 existing public-private healthcare projects in the Russian Federation”, she said.
Skvortsova also noted that such cooperation does not increase the volume of paid medical care to citizens.
