Federal Road Agency agrees with ICA Construction on investment in Russian road infrastructure

25 May 2017

Russia’s Federal Road Agency (Rosavtodor) and Italian-Turkish company ICA Construction have reached an agreement on cooperation on the implementation of investment projects in road construction. The agreement was signed by Rosavtodor Director Roman Starovoyt and ICA Chairman Fırat Çeçen, Rosavtodor said in a statement.

“At present, the Turkish-Italian investors are particularly interested in the regional road public-private projects (PPP) using Rosavtodor's methodology. They are distinguished by their tripartite financing scheme: using money from the federal road fund, the regional budget, and private sector investments (at least 15%)”, the company said.

In particular, one such potential project is the construction of a bridge across the Ob River in Novosibirsk. ICA Construction plans to participate in the second stage of the tender for the right to build and operate this facility.
