Government to bolster investment in health resort industry

4 April 2017

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has signed an order approving a plan to promote private investments in the development of the health resort industry, the Russian government’s website reports.

“The order that has been signed approves an action plan to stimulate private investment in the development of the health resort industry”, the report says.

The plan calls for establishing an interdepartmental working group in charge of developing Russia’s health resort industry and analysing the efficient use of the industry’s facilities and existing tools to co-finance public-private partnership (PPP) projects and concession agreements that are currently being implemented.

“Criteria will be developed to select health resort facilities in Russia for the implementation of PPP projects and regions will be identified to launch pilot projects to rebuild these facilities”, the report says.
