Oreshkin: Russian economy moving towards ‘whitewashing’

21 April 2017

Small and medium-sized business is actively shifting out of the ‘grey’ zone and into the ‘white’ zone, while the Russian economy as a whole is moving in the direction of ‘whitewashing’, however the situation with ‘grey’ salaries remains a problem for now, Minister of Economic Development Maxim Oreshkin is quoted as saying by TASS news agency.

“History can be seen in reality, and I know this well from several of my acquaintances who work in different companies in the Russian economy, the ‘whitewashing’ of the economy is taking place rather quickly. The only sector that is delaying and slowing things down involves everything associated with ‘grey’ salaries”, Oreshkin said.

Oreshkin said that this remains a major problem in terms of employment.
