Total investment in the Vologda Region will exceed RUB 124 billion in 2018, Vologda Region Governor Oleg Kuvshinnikov told RIA Novosti.

Kuvshinnikov noted that the Vologda Region had joined the top ten regions in terms of the creation of a comfortable business climate and was noted at the meeting of the State Council as a region that had achieved excellent results in attracting investments. The governor pointed out that large investment projects are being implemented in the region. Construction has been completed on a major ammonia and urea production facility at a site in Cherepovets. Investments in this project amounted to more than RUB 60 billion.
