Eurasian Development Bank and Roscongress Foundation sign cooperation agreement

Moscow, February 28, 2017 – At the Russian Investment Forum in Sochi today, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) and the Roscongress Foundation. The signatories to the agreement were Chairman of the EDB Management Board Dmitry Pankin and Deputy CEO of the Roscongress Foundation Shukur Israilov.

The agreement lays the foundations for setting up and developing cooperation between the two sides and combining their efforts to make it easier for initiators of promising projects to access financial resources.

The agreement will facilitate cooperation between the two parties in such areas as exchanging analytical, statistical, and legal information; developing models for financing promising projects; and exploring opportunities for technical collaboration.

Background

The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) is an international financial organization founded by Russia and Kazakhstan in January 2006 with the aim of collaborating to develop the market economies of its member states, facilitate their sustainable economic growth, and expand mutual trade links. The EBD has a total charter capital of USD 7 billion. The Bank’s member states are the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, the Russian Federation, and the Republic of Tajikistan.

The Roscongress Foundation was founded in 2007 with the aim of facilitating the development of Russia’s economic potential and strengthening the country’s image by organizing conventions, exhibitions, and public events. The Foundation develops substantive content for such events, providing companies and organizations with advice, information, and expert guidance, and offering comprehensive evaluation, analysis, and coverage of the Russian and global economic agendas.
